Technical and User Documentation
There are two major categories of documentation available within Application Design, known as technical and user documentation.
Technical documentation is of interest primarily to designers because it contains information about how an application is designed. It is the basis of the APPX printed technical documentation. See the Application Design Documentation Menu for details.
User documentation contains descriptive information about what an end user needs to know to operate an application, such as the allowable values or restrictions for an input field. It is the basis of the APPX online help facility. User documentation can be maintained both through Application Design and by using the Documentation Management option from the System Administration Pulldown Menu on the APPX Main Menu (as described in the System Management Manual.) |
